In today’s episode I want to review the importance of, and the proper use of, what is commonly referred to as a landing page. So as not to confuse the issue, I will keep today’s program simple and on point.
A landing page is a single page within one’s website whose purpose is to highlight one’s interest in any particular topic or destination. By offering additional information on any one particular area of interest, people would go to that particular page and hopefully leave their name and email which would provide you, the salesperson, an opportunity to follow-up professionally over the next few weeks or months.
Where the majority of so-called professional sales people go wrong is that they fail to follow up accordingly once an interested candidate asks for additional information. Lack of follow-up, regardless of the industry, is the number one reason why more people are not more successful in sales. (This is an entirely new subject which can be dealt with at a later time.)
